Ugrading the SmallBiz Theme to the latest version

IMPORTANT – UPGRADING Theme Version 3.7.x to 3.8

Theme version 3.8 will introduce rounded corners and edges to your menu and text boxes.

rounded-1

The rounded corners CSS effect can be removed if desired.

The Rotator layout will re-size images in the lower 4 boxes by default. This function can also be removed.

If you added CSS for Font Size and Font Family – please use the new Font picker in the SmallBiz Options Panel to re-apply your desired font settings to your layouts.

SmallBiz 3.8 will introduce 3 new layouts to your SmallBiz Options Panel. You can switch layouts at any time. Remember your homepage text will be saved – but will not be transferred to another layout because all layouts have a different amount of text boxes and box sizes.

IMPORTANT – UPGRADING Theme Version 3.6 and older

The following changes may drastically affect the appearance and function of an older (prior to 3.7) Themes.

1) Theme version 3.8.x and up is 60px wider (960px) –
Which means you need to redo your header graphic and possibly all your homepage and sidebar images to fit the wider format.

2) Theme version 3.8.x and up uses the new WordPress Menu -
The old “rounded graphic tabs” menu is no longer supported. Your menu will be changed to the new WordPress menu.

3) Theme version 3.8.x and up introduces new CSS –
